Transfer Stations Dinner Invitation

DO YOU KNOW WHAT A TRANSFER STATION IS, AND WHAT IT MEANS FOR OUR COMMUNITIES?
A transfer station is a site where recyclables and refuse are collected and sorted in preparation for processing or landfill (including appliances, electronics, mattresses, etc.)

Prior to next week’s Grand Opening of our Transfer Stations, we invite you to come and share a meal with us to learn more about these new services to members, and answers to any questions you may have.

- Thursday August 1st at Tin Wis Hall @ 6pm
- Tuesday August 6th at Opitsaht MICC @ 6pm (NEW DATE)

VIRTUAL COURT COUNTER SERVICE

Beginning July 8, 2024 a new service was rolled out for residents of British Columbia to speak with a Court Services Branch employee for assistance on Court matters.

Instead of having to attend a local registry in person that may be outside one’s community, individuals may access resources via the Virtual Counter. Users can book an appointment using a mobile device or computer between Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm PST (excluding Statutory holidays) and meet virtually or by telephone.

Scan the QR code, or visit the website https://courtservicesbc.waitwell.ca/

The schedule for the West Coast Transit service will be changing effective July 29th.

Two of the least travelled times have been removed – the 630 and 930 am round trips from Ucluelet to Tofino and back to Ucluelet.

In their place, have been added a 1030 and 1130 am round trip from Ucluelet to Tofino and back.

Furthermore, a Seniors Fare has been introduced.
This fare is $2 for a single ride, or $20 for a book of tickets.
